We assisted SSP Group PLC hold their European Works Council meeting remotely for the first time this year. Prior to COVID-19 restrictions, these had always been live in person meetings and, although the client did operate a remote conferencing system, interpretation channels were not included. We took a feed from this and used the Ablio Conference system, operated by our own technicians, to provide simultaneous interpretation from English to French, German, Spanish and Norwegian. Using Ablio meant that no additional hardware was required as delegates needing interpretation could access it simply through an app on their smartphone or tablet.
In addition, as a full service language company, we also translated meeting slides, provided note taking and transcription for the meeting and translated this for the benefit of non English speaking delegates.
