We were tasked to supply technical support for the Kuehne and Nagel European Works Council Plenary Session held in te Renaissance Hotel, London Heathrow.
Originally planned as a three-language, in-person event, this changed at the last moment to four languages and a hybrid set-up with a number of speakers appearing by video link. Alongside the four interpretation booths and infra-red transmission system for delegates to receive interpretation, we set up seven lapel mics for the EWC Chair and other presenters together with tabletop delegate mics for EWC members.
To facilitate the hybrid part of the meeting, we sent up pan tilt and zoom cameras and a 75-inch display screen to show remote presenters. All this linked to the interpretation and microphone feeds to ensure everything was joined up. There was quite a lot of cabling and switch gear involved but the European Works Council Chair took time out at the end to say we had provided one of the best technical setups they had encountered.
