Let’s talk about Simultaneous Interpretation Booths, sometimes called interpreter booths or even simultaneous translator booths.
Unless your venue has built in interpreter booths, we would need to supply and assemble our portable simultaneous interpretation booths. These consist of a number of soundproofed panels, either solid or glazed, that, when assemble create a booth measuring 1.6 x 1.6 x 2 metres.
Each of our simultaneous interpretation booths can accommodate two interpreters and have a built in desk as well as ventilation and reading lights. Interpreters access the interpreter booth through an outward opening door at the rear so space for this must be factored into planning an event layout.
Our simultaneous interpretation booths create a space where interpreters can work without distraction and where their interpreters output will not distract others. Interpretation booths need to be positioned where interpreters can either have direct line of sight to those speaking. If this is not possible, they will need to be able to view a video feed of the speaker from their interpreter booth.
All of our simultaneous interpretation booths are ISO 4043 compliant.
